Slongs Fishing Lures was established in June 2006 at my home in Hanson, Kentucky.  The idea came to me after many costly fishing trips.  Why not make my own baits and save money.

Shortly thereafter while in a bait shop I discovered some tools and materials for bait manufacturing.  After a discussion with my wife we decided it would be more cost effective to make my own baits instead of purchasing them. Within just a few weeks making jigs became a hobby that my wife and I felt could become a business. Through experimenting and testing we were able to develop a truly top quality, custom lure.

So here we are three years down the road with a growing successful business.  I am very excited to see what this year will bring for Slongs Fishing Lures.
